I am endeavouring to take the top few inches of soil off all my big tubs,  then add the Nematode mix,  and finish off  topping up with some fresh compost.    A long job because I've got too many tubs.
Is that for slugs Mups ?
If so does it work

klondike

Those little blue pellets don't.

Really inaccurate out of an airgun and when I loaded a shotgun cartridge with them it blew the entire plant out of the pot.

😀
I have a dog and don't put down pellets or poison of any sort
Have tried wood ash and eggshells but the slugs are toughies down my way.

Have you tried copper? I've read that they won't cross copper strips round the tops of pots. For sale in many places.

No I haven't .
Because Charlie Dimmock says the soli has to be slug free before you put the copper around which I presume to mean new soil which doesn't have any anal /slug eggs in it .else they will eat from within as it were .
As my pots are old and large it would be a major job to replace all that soil .

Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Yes Klondie, and I  found the copper bands quite effective last year.   I used the tape to put round pots, and the rigid rings to put round  emerging Dahlias in the ground.    ( https://www.slugrings.co.uk/)

Like Muddy said,  with the dogs always poking about where they shouldn't,  I daren't use any dangerous chemicals.  My Gertie is a nightmare for foraging and eating things she shouldn't.
