Oh Gawd,  I get worse, don't I !!   Gormless bugger.
They look so real -  except for the colours.

I had one. They banned the import of tortoises years ago as they were just packed in boxes like rocks. I imagine the ban has been replaced with regulations now.

Yes, I remember that.
That must have been why you could only keep them if you held a licence in the end.
I remember some pet shops didn't keep them anymore once licences were required.
Mum had hers for many years.

Never mind Mups they did look very real 🙂
My great aunt had one for about 50 years I sometimes wonder what happened to the poor thing when she died , she had no children .
Very long lived animals like tortoises and parrots can easily out live their owners .
My son says he will have my dog if he outlives us.

Today I have sown some Ostepspurmums,  and done a couple of Rosemary cuttings,  then repotted a couple of Salvia cuttings.

I popped up to the local garden centre to get some plant support sticks,  a couple of other things, but had to go miles out of my way because they had closed the road for some reason.
I wanted to cut the grass when I got back,  but didn't have the energy in the end.

The ground is getting very hard and dry round here.  Seems crazy after such a wet winter, doesn't it.

I was at the garden centre too, got 2 trays of big head Pansies and 2 trays of begonias. That took care of 4 of my long trough planters but I have one left and I can't think what to get for it.
The buds are coming on my 4 azaleas and some growth on my snowball bush. All survived the Winter.  :yay:

It's a joy when we see things coming back to life after winter,  isn't it.
Are your Azaleas in the ground or in tubs, Raven?

My Camelias have just about finished flowering,  but one of my Rhododendrons's buds are just beginning to open.

I have 2 azaleas in pots and 2 in the ground. Also 2 Rhododendrons's, 1 deep purple and 1 pink, they are almost in bud. I have 2 fire bushes as well, all need hard pruning back. My bamboo is enormous it was cut last year but it's around 12 ft again.
The spyira bush and the Smoke Bush are really big too, lots of pruning to do this year. I love shrubs as you'll have guessed lol. I still have some lavender to get but end of May before I do that. Still got Dageus's Forget me Knots that the vet gave me for him in a ceramic pot, I'll need to find a place for them soon. Want a southernwood bush to replace the one I lost a couple of years ago but I think it's going to have to be got online, they're simply not available here. The smell from them if you touch them is wonderful.
