More interesting photos.
Lots of grass there to cut, Vlad.   That should keep you out of mischief for a little while.

Does everyone use Postimages  to show their pictures,  or is there another way?

I have always used postimages. I often try to use the add image to post at the bottom of the reply box but it seldom works for me, I think my photos are too big for it.
I have 3 big lawns to cut and I hate doing it, never used to bother me but since I smashed my leg up THEN, had the heart trouble it's getting harder to do. I was in Tesco earlier and looking at their big head Pansies but they were almost dead, I don't know why they can't just water the damn things. It's the same down in Perth's Tescos they are left to die and I refuse to pay full price for them.

Mups

I agree with you completely, Raven.    Every time I see plants outside supermarkets they are either dying or dead.
I can't understand how the staff get away with it.    I blame the Manager,  because he should ask the staff to water them regularly,  but he either doesn't check - or he doesn't care either.

Tesco must be losing money when they purchase these things,  but never get their money back,  because no one will buy them when they are all half dead.
I wouldn't be surprised if the staff say its not part of their job description!

My mum who practically lived in our huge garden told me if you move house it needs a full year to see what's what in a new garden. So not to make to many changes at first.

Does anyone here ever grow vegetables in pots and tubs?
If so,  what do you find grows well?

I made the mistake in one house of digging up what I thought were dead wood soon after we moved in.  Fuchsias. I know better now. 🙄

That's what I was thinking, I have dine some light pruning and removed some dead wood.
Today I planted a two year old weeping cherry tree in a large pot  behind the Buddha .
I put it in a pot in case I want to move it later.

I have sown a few flower seeds today,  and tomorrow I hope to sow my French Beans and some early Carrots.

I had 4 new perennial Geraniums arrive today,  so potted them up temporarily short term, before I plant them out in their permanent places.

One of my Roses doesn't look healthy this year,  so sadly, I think its going to have to go.  Pity, because its a gorgeous pink,  and has always flowered so well.

They are talking about the temperature dropping down to only 2 degrees here on Sunday night!

Do you have to bring the geraniums in in winter Mups  ?

Not these ones Muddy, No.
These are the hardy perennial geraniums (Cranesbill) that go in the ground,  not the houseplant Pelagonium type that can go outside for the summer only.

This is where I got them from:

I also dug out my tub of Strawberry plants today to repot them,  and good job I did because the tub was full of blessed /Vine Weevals!   Wretched things.
So that means another job tomorrow,  making up all the Weeval nematodes and drenching all my tubs.

Let my Tortoise Family out for the Summer.

Mups

Ooh Raven,  I  l-o-v-e  tortoises.

My Mum kept some for years.   They lived in her garden, including through the winter,  and year after year they would reappear.
They would start mating again, and Mum used to hatch the eggs in her airing cupboard.
The babies had to be kept in a vivarium for up to 2 yrs before they could go out.

Then the time came when owners had to be licenced to legally keep them anymore,  but I am not sure whether Mum ever did get a licence.

Eventually she became too old and too ill  (Mum had cancer) to keep them anymore and they wouldn'thave been safe where I lived at that time,  so a friend of mine who was very knowledgeable took them on.   They lived safely with her for years.

May I ask why your adult ones seem such bright colours?  I have never seen a yellow one,  nor one with blue head and limbs  - or is that just the camera?

Raven

These are not real tortoises Mups but they are sooooo lifelike. I got them from Temu.
I also love them but my mum wouldn't let me have one when I was a child, she always said 4 OES was plenty to look after, especially when there was a litter as well. BUT, my cousins had one so I had lots of interaction with one at least.
I take them inside in the Winter as I don't know how frost would affect them, better safe than sorry. I call the big one Thomas and he sits in my grate during the cold, the others go in the greenhouse.
