Another race horse killed

It's so sad you can see the pain in his face .
He was only six .
I am a horse lover and have been with horses all my life .
As an artist I am increasingly upset at the distress I see in the faces of animals especially horses ..
I cannot paint them looking so tortured .
As a horse person I know what goes on
The gruelling  treatment ( a horse is an animal with a small stomach that basically was designed to digest grass , he walks all day long grazing ) he runs full out when to escape a predator otherwise he doesn't unless he is playing as a young horse .
A race horse is kept in a box 23 hours out of the 24 and fed high energy foods .
He goes out for training
In other equine sports horses are also tortured .
Tied down with horrible equipment and with seriously horrible contraptions in their mouths that the general public may never get to know about .
Event horses jump fences they would never face in nature .
Yes they are brave and trained but no horse would jump these jumps on his own bat .
And horses do drop dead , they have heart attacks the same as us . They have severe back problems the same as we do .
But they cannot speak and money can .

This race to me, seems just another opportunity for the  'wanna be celebs'   women to outdo each other with their fashions,  while the men use it to hopefully get richer.
