I am a bit surprised no one has mentioned this as it has been on every news bulletin for the last couple of weeks.

But can anybody tell me what's  it all for?    Why are the American's even doing this?   
Is it another Trump ego  thing?    Why can't some humans ever be content with what they have already?

I honestly can't see the point,  other than humans trying to take over even more things that don't belong to them,  because if humans do get there,  I wonder how long it will be before they start trying to change things,  steal stuff,  build things and generally re-organise something that has been working well for billions of years? 

I am very sure that the collossal amount of money spent on these projects could be put to much better use on projects here on Earth,  things that would benefit many, many people,  instead of just the rich boys and their toys.

Perhaps many don't agree with me,  but that's how I feel nevertheless.

I agree with you, maybe they're looking for another place to colonise so humans can destroy that too.

It must predate Trump possibly even Biden and Trump 1. These projects take ages.

I think their eventual plan is Mars next but not with this hardware. Maybe they are looking to use the moon as a staging post. It takes a lot less energy to take off from the moon. Of course they've got to get everything there first but can do that in multiple trips.

A waste of money.. Enough problems down here to support rather than spend billions on something that few people are interested in.. No-one in my family.. friends.. the Co-op.. have mentioned it at all..
 I am sure the people of America can think of better ways to waste money..

I believe they are looking for a moon landing mission and this current mission was to test the equipment and procedures.

That's how I feel too, Michael.
I see it merely as a race between rich men.
Where does that sort of money even come from?

Petrol is going up and up, and diesel, and gas, electric, food,  hospital waiting list go on forever, and people struggling more than ever,  yet the idle rich play their games costing billions.   
As I said in the beginning,  I am sure that money could have been better spent elsewhere.

Better to spend it on that than annoying the people who can block off the fuel routes and bugger the world economy. Probably cheaper just on the cost of the bangers used. Certainly cheaper than the cost to the whole world which is just lining the pockets of billionaires.
