Under a UK-EU food deal, marmalade will be forced to ditch its classic "marmalade" label and rebrand as "citrus marmalade" to comply with Brussels rules. The change will apply across England, Wales and Scotland if ministers press ahead with plans to readopt 76 revised EU food regulations.

Oh dear, what will change next I wonder ?  Incidentally, Morrisons thick-cut Seville Orange marmalade came out on top with 75% customer rating in a Which taste test.   A 340g jar costs £1.80 which makes Morrison's own-label 75% cheaper than Tiptree, Duerr's and Frank Cooper's marmalades, which featured among the branded and own-brand preserves in the test.

Coming in a close second was Duchy's Organic Seville Orange thick cut marmalade, earning 73% rating. Equalling this score was Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Bitter Seville orange marmalade. Just more useless information.....

I gave up marmalade when I decided to be a slim(er) boy. Too many calories. 300 plus in a decent thick slice of toast butter and marmalade

Tiptree Tawny Orange , thick cut, gorgeous.
The problem with being retired is that you never get a day off

Mups

I'm afraid I don't Marmalade,  or Jam either.
Much too sweet for me.

I just have either spread cheese,  or Bovril on my toast usually.

Just as well. Being sold to Americans so you can be sure they'll be changing it just as they did Cadbury

Actually Marmite has changed anyway from when I are it regularly. I tried a store own brand and that was fine - pretty much how I remembered marmite then one time they no longer had it and i bought the real thing. I didn't like it and switched to a different store own brand which to me was fine.
