Do shops think everyone is over six foot..!!
The clothes I buy usually have to be turned up at the hem.. I am 5.4..
Luckily I prefer culottes...
I am aware that the kids of today are much taller than we were..
When in a store  holding dresses or trousers up against my body they drag on the floor..
I can't wear long dress because it looks as if I have no legs..
Does this also apply to men..!

Why?  Probably because they are designed by men,  Scrumps.
Men who have no idea what its like for anyone shorter than them. 
You are actually about 5"  taller than me,  so you can imagine the problems I have!
(Same with supermarket top shelves). 

M & S trousers very often come in about three different lengths though,  and the shorter ones fit me fine.

I always used to take the middle length of trousers from Mark's when I bought from them.
I buy a lot of my leggings and jeans from Temu now and they fit fine. I was 5ft 4in but a couple of years back when I had my bone scan after my bad fall they measured me, I was gobsmacked to hear I was now 5ft 2in 🤷
I can imagine your frustration though Mups.  I also have a problem with Supermarket top shelves

We're obviously a bunch of short ***** on here then, as I'm 5'2" too    Supermarket shelves are the main problem, how often have I had to look around for a tall man to reach for an item, and because I'm old they're always very helpful
