It's only your email address they check.

I don't don't go anywhere that I don't understand.. And there is so much that I don't..
  I think it is always best to remain ignorant about some things..

There's an option to if you look. 

I registered with them for email breaches years back and get notifications. As you say frightening how many sites get hacked. They tell you what was exposed. 

Normally passwords are not held on websites - your password is put through a routine that generates something called a hash and that gets stored. When you enter your password it goes through the hashing algorithm and the result is compared to what is stored. One of the sites I used was storing passwords in plain text which is unforgiveable.

An instant response and no problems found.
I can't believe that they haven't asked for any sort of payment, as I would be happy to pay a little, especially as they apparently keep looking!

I haven't bothered with the two games I used to do regularly, as I have been too busy and also, to be honest, I got bored with them!

I didn't know that, Klondy.  I have never noticed anything about passwords,  so I guess I didn't look properly.

It seems I was caught in April '25.

You weren't caught yourself. Some website you used was hacked. The LastPass password manager site was. Amazingly they are still in business

Sets the option to be alerted (a popup message) when a PM is received or you become active a one was sent earlier. The forum has limited emails per month and they are only available for lost passwords. No notifications that a thread had a reply  happy birthday, etc.
