I get the impression that this government likes to pay handsomely for things they don't need to pay for at all. So long as they are playing lady bountiful to foreigners.

Emigrate?  I'm too old to do that now, though for young people who have anything about them it is probably a good idea the way things are going.

The future?  Continuing mass illegal entry and many young British people choosing not to bother working, things are not looking particularly good.  I hope that Reform UK will be elected to government in 2029, but that's a long way off and I can imagine what further damage the Labour government can do in that time.

I shall think again in three years' time if I'm still here!  (I'm not in the best of health.)  
It just saddens me to think of how this country has, over the past 200 years, become the greatest, most respected and most powerful nation on earth, and then declined to what is now approaching third-world status quite probably as a result of our own incompetence.

Cyprus has a big ex-pat community. Probably get a good discount it Trump carries on bombing the Ayatollahs and don't forget HMS Trotter will be there sometime to protect you.

Will , moved abroad - to Scot land and after 22 years and am thoroughly enjoying it, even if some of them do  talk funny!
