The Green Party

The Muslims voted Labour last time apart from a couple of places where they got organised. The greens got virtually no votes that mattered last time either. Their votes this time are mostly Muslims plus the even more lefties than usual Labour voters.

They have zero chance of forming a government by 2029 unless Starmer gives all the dinghy boys a vote and they step up the crossings. There are not enough places with a Muslim majority. There are loonies everywhere true but most are not loony enough to vote green. They'll probably vote LibDem as so many loonies do.

Our locality's people voted Limp Dems into the council last time.  It has always been Conservative or Limp Dem.

I am hoping that at the next GE, we will vote in Reform.  I certainly shall, but I'm quite sure that many people today are still dithering.

Farage is a marmite character. There are many that either don't trust or don't like him. There will still be some that consider the party racist. For my part I see no viable option other than Reform that won't just let the rot continue without even an attempt to fix things. Reform may not succeed but I'm sure that they will try.

We haven't had a vote since the Limp Dems took over.  To be honest, they seem to be running the constituency quite well.  They even repaired the surface at the bottom of our road, and it didn't seem to have any visible problems that needed repairing.  Perhaps spending money unnecessarily in order to retain their financial support?

There is a busy T junction a hundred yards up the road from me. There's a school up that road and it gets very regular traffic. It gets repaired and a couple of months later is once again a wreck. I posted a picture of it a while back. It was repaired but once again is terrible. I'll see if I can find the old picture and maybe take another. I'm not sure what they use for the repairs but they never last. There have been some local roundabouts repaired that are again developing bad potholes.

Found the old one
This was May 2024 either prior to latest repairs or maybe soon after the last lot

That junction now

Potholes close up. Looks like a local has been topping up the holes...

The potholes reopen because they are not patched correctly so water gets in and the whole thing starts again .
Sometimes it's better if there are several potholes close to each other to plane off the entire road surface and relay the blacktop .
However for single potholes this is too expensive .
The answer is to patch them properly the first time .

Mups

Klondy,   do you use this site to report them?

I used to report fly tipping, leaf litter and overgrowing vegetation problems to the council using their own website but haven't recently. I'll give that a look but I doubt it will be effective.

I see the issue has already been reported - found the date and it was this morning. Be interesting to see what happens. https://www.fixmystreet.com/report/9034365
My guess ....
All they'll do is put some magic healing paint round some of them then ages later what was marked may well get patched (badly) but it the meantime more will have formed. It's never ending until they bite the bullet and dig the lot up and re-lay it all properly.

I do think people are getting fed up with potholes. I use Waze via AndroidAuto in my car and there are constant pot hole warnings showing people have at least made the effort to report them on that

Not sure what this has to do with the Green Party. I blame JBR - he mentioned pot holes first

Oh, yes!  Blame me!
You're all just jealous because our road was correctly repaired, despite not having any potholes.
Having said that it's a Limp Dem council, I'd still never vote for them!
