Has anything nice happened to you recently

There is so much doom and gloom,  arguments,  and bad news of late,  I have to 'switch off'.

Then last Friday something really simple, but so lovely happened to me,  it made me think about starting a cheerful thread as a change from bloody Trump, Andrew, and stabbings!

On Friday I had gone to post a letter,  and just a few feet away from the post box there is a small charity shop.
I didn't intend to go in,  but I love teddy bears,  and one about 2ft high was sitting in the front window smiling at me.

I wanted him,  but  sense prevailed and I turned to go home.
As I was walking away,  a voice behind me said 'Hello'  and I turned round to see it was a lady from my exercise class,  I don't know her name.  She was carrying loads of stuff to donate to the shop.
I said how much I liked the Ted, and she said to go and get it if you like it.   

Well that's all it took to make me  weaken,  so I went back to ask how much it was, as there was no price ticket on him.
The chap behind the counter had no idea what to charge,  and in the end asked me if £2 would do.
I said yes please!
Then to my horror,  I realised I had no money on me!!   I had only gone out to post a letter after all.

As I was going to put Ted back in the window,  the lady I had seen outside had put the £2 on the counter for me.
Silly or not,  but just one little kindness out of the blue like that, really made me fill up. I hardly know her even.  Bless her heart.  What a lovely kind gesture wasn't it.   
It doesn't always take much to make someone happy does it.
