The council put all its Gym contracts up for tender. The group I am with have several gyms including my nearest (which they are losing). I tend to go to one a bit further away as it is never busy when I go but has terrible parking so I walk. If it's grotty weather I drive to the one near me which has good parking. I did look at another I'd still have access to but when I went the parking was almost full.

After looking at alternatives I decided I'll cancel and go with one in town. There is (currently) free council parking next to it or I could take the bus or more probably walk as the distance is similar to what I've been doing. I phoned shortly after their line opened which is only 10 to 4. There was a form on their website to cancel but as there are only a few days before I'll be in for another month's charge I waited after sending it. When I eventually got on I was told it was email/form only. I told the person I'd filled in the form while waiting but wasn't certain of my membership type which it wanted. She apologised and said there were only two of them and I'd been 12 in the queue.

I've been out but when a got back there was an email. Immediate answer when I replied to the pointless question about if I was the acount hoilder. Then some back and forth about whey I was leaving and an offer of discount. All replies probably quicker than my own.

There is a clue in the sig how this was achieved...
