Be interested to hear how you get on with it. It's obviously just a heat sink in reverse and I'd thave thought it needed more surface area to make a huge difference.

I just use the defrost setting on my microwave if I need something quick. Especially as the hour or so mentioned doesn't sound particularly quick to me. It will just be defrosting from the outside in while a microwave can put energy deep into the food as well.

That would be a bonus!  I'm surprised how many young people are disabled, or can't read, or are just plain ignorant, judging by the number who sit in the accessible/disabled seats on the trams and buses round here.
