Forgetting to go to the loo before you leave home..

Looking in the fridge for something you were defrosting over night,  and its not there because its still in the freezer. 

No joke.
A few weeks ago after a delivery, without thinking I put Marge's medicine in the freezer instead of the fridge.
Was I in trouble!

 Spending ages with a coat zip..in the rain...

I must have got old about 70 years ago then. Or perhaps it's what to expect if you're a bloke or get old...

Yes,  and especially embarrassing when they seem to know you quite well!

I keep meeting a young chap while I'm out walking who greets me like an old friend and I not only don't know his name I haven't the faintest idea who he is. I don't know if I've forgotten or if he has me mixed up with somebody else.

I still have a few things from the 1930s that belonged to my parents.  We live in a 1930s house, and they fit.  I have little interest in buying new 'stuff'.

I suspect he's an old friend's son who I haven't seen in years, has grown up and I just don't recognise him
