Both are annoying and can screw you up for several days if you get into daytime napping I think. Best to try to keep busy on something. Anything.

You should get married again - you'd be dead to the world the moment you got in bed. Only works for women though

Yes,  I'd agree with that.

I always try to occupy my day..
You can only do so much housework..
Clean the car.. If it is not raining.
I go for a walk .. even a short one..
I do drawing.. sketches.. Paint my nails.. Sometimes I even cut my fringe..
I don't belong to any clubs.. I did go down to our local community centre a couple of times..
But I came away feeling older than I already was..
I having people who pass by my gate during the day... Dog walkers , families heading to the local park.. I have a bench in the front garden.. I sit with my coffee.. People stop to talk..
It is very difficult for those with mobility problems and I am thankful that I am able bodied..
Even though my balance is crap..
So much easier when the sun is shining and your doors are open..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

I get to sleep most nights easily, but tend to wake up at silly o'clock for the loo.  Most times I'm straight off again, hate it when I'm wide awake. I read, not TV, don't want to disturb my OH.  Can't sleep in the morning, I'm usually wide awake by 6am.

I'm busy, volunteering, going to the pool, shopping, trying to not to drop off during the day, but it doesn't always work. 🥱😴

I saw what you wrote klondike!  Cheek.  Even if it's true. 😂

I almost always get out of bed to have a pee in the early morning but, like you, I'm off to sleep straight away... well, after I've got back into bed.  Then I need another pee when I wake up around 8am.

Generally, I have no problem in sleeping, fortunately, and often have a nap in the late afternoon if we're not doing anything.  Naturally, I don't do that if we're out somewhere, especially if driving.

I often feel exhausted but as soon as I go to bed I wake up. Soooo annoying. If I wake through the night I get up and either read or watch some recorded telly.

Things could be a whole lot worse for you.

You might not wake up for the loo

That has been on my mind!  I'm not quite doolally yet, though.
If that should ever happen, I shall take precautions:
- a rubber blanket in the bed;
- a clamp for my willy.
