Windy ..

.. in these here parts..
Yesterday at 9am I had a Barium Feed.. No food or liquid since the previous day..

It was bloody awful.. It was a clear liquid not the regular stuff..
I am sure it was knocked up by a mad scientist in a experimental laboratory.
I was told to drink.. hold.. swallow.. drink .. hold swallow.. At least 15 times.. 
Turn this way .. and that way.. Then all of a sudden I was laying on my back from an upright position.. My head went all dizzy.. I swooned but didn't pass out.. 
I then had to drink and hold this potion in my mouth.. sipped from a straw..
  I burped all the way back to the dressing cubicle..
I couldn't wait to get home.. Tea.. toast.. Food of the Gods..
I went for a walk.. I couldn't wait for lunch.. Followed by
biscuits with a cup of tea in the afternoon.. The excitement of eating took over...
Then it happened.. A rumbling started up.. My tummy started to bloat..  I popped to the loo.. and I mean POPPED.. all the way..  The popping and rumbling  went on all evening..
Then bed...Try laying down flat in bed when your belly is full of noxious gases.. !!!

I told the (lovely) woman who carried out the procedure..
'Thank you for helping me.. But I will not be drinking in your establishment again'

Wind has died down..    Light diet today.. 
Results will go to hospital doctor who requested the Barium feed.. Who knows how long results will be..
Strange really .. I only went to the doctor with a sinus complaint and ended up having things poked 
here there and everywhere.. 
This is what the wealthy call a 'check-up'.. 
I am certainly being given the 'once over'..
.... and I still haven't been to ENT consultant.. The appointment is arranged for March..
 I will not knock the NHS nor my doctor.. They have been great..

You seem to have more faith in your ENT people than I have in mine.
I  just got the results a couple of days ago,  of a scan I had in early December.
I thought it didn't make sense, so phoned the secretary, only to find they had sent me someone else's results in error!!

I have yet to see ENT.. I have been waiting since November..
