On a 'Money Page'  of a magazine I have been looking at,  it reckons to raise a child to adulthood  by today's prices,  it costs around  £249,000.

Apparently between 15 - 18 is the most expensive period, with parents spending an average of £65,016  during this period alone!

Do you agree with this,  or does it seem as daft to you as it does to me?
They must all have posh cars, go on a cruise every month,  and only dine at the Ritz!

You imagine what it would cost a couple who have perhaps half a dozen kids.

Seems way too much. OK, with two houses to sell, Veronica and I weren't hard up, but when we married, I was 58, Niall was 14, Victoria was 10, and I'm sure we never spent anything like that on them
Thank you for the days, the days you gave me

It is a lot!  It must include the cost of feeding, clothing, housing, holidays etc., not just expensive extra items, although now phones would have to be included. Driving lessons, necessary where my older teen grandchildren live, are expensive.  Clubs, like drama, sports, dancing classes, all add up.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖
