My family keep much information on their phones..
Dates.. Appointments and things to remember..

I use a.... Calendar..
It shows me all the dates for Christmas.. Easter.. Longest and shortest day.. Summertime.. etc;
I mark in appointments.. Birthdays.. Car.. Health checks when they come along..
I can not drop it down the loo.. break it.. or get it nicked..

Am I an old fashioned girl.?  Or a smart old bird..?

Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

I do have a reminder app on a tablet. It reminds me which bins to put out, when to order meds etc. It even has expiry dates for fire alarms in it. I look at it periodically to see what I forgot.

I used to put appointments on post it notes but as any doctors appointment these days is usually far enough away for the post it to dry out or fade I got a little A5 whiteboard and stuck it up in the kitchen instead. You've just seen my regular reminder system. Insurances car tax and the like I rely on reminders from them but do have a good idea when they come - the whole damned lot around now.

I use a calendar too, it's on the kitchen wall.  The problem is I sometimes forget to look at the calendar. Alexa is great for reminding me about all sorts of stuff like lunches out, turn off the heating, put out the bins,
take tablet etc etc...

Breakfast means tablets.. I don't take any after that..
Thursday means bins
Alexa tells me that a delivery is on the way.. They leave items in my enclosed porch..
If I am cold I put the heating on.. If I am hot I turn it off.. I do not have it on timer..
My social calendar is not busy busy.. I don't need reminding..

I think my memory is pretty good.. It is my balance that is wonky..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Took my friend shopping yesterday, she'd left the heating on all night from Friday afternoon  !  Mine's on a timer, but if I'm cold I put it on manually so Alexa makes sure I don't forget to turn it off again  :upvote:

I do exactly the same, I get one of those long, narrow, appointment calendars, and it fits nicely on the side of the fridge freezer at eye level.
I did try to use my phone calendar once, but it's too much faffing about, lasted about a month then switched back. :upvote:

I have always used a wall calendar too.   I can easily see the whole month in advance,  when appointments are, when birthdays are, and anything else I am supposed to do.      So easy.

I have never used a mobile calendar.
