At last,   two men have been arrested for this  150 mtr long pile of waste they've dumped in a field alongside a river in Oxfordshire on the A34.  .
A man age 60 and another of 54,  were responsible,   so  more than old enough to know better.

However could this have been allowed to get so bad before something was done about it?
Those men should be forced to help shovel it all up again, no matter how long it takes them.

First time I've ever heard of anything on that scale !  geez, no names given I suppose they don't want the neighbours to know.

I bet they don't have to.  I expect that they'll get a 'stern telling off', and that's it.  🙄

This is dumping on an industrial scale .
Apparently dumping like this makes a lot of money .

I expect you're right JB.

But I still think they should be made to clear it up,  and not with machinery -  with just two shovels.
That should keep 'e out of mischief for a good while.

It may be fair but it won't be a punishment available to whoever passes the sentence. Imprisonment, probation or fines are all they can have imposed on them.

That's a pity.

If they are found or plead guilty, the land owner can sue them for the cost of disposing of it. I'd have to laugh if it turned up somewhere else. This has been wished on us by politicians who are afraid to burn it, and since China stopped accepting our recycling to burn it, places to take it legitimately have become harder to find.

Reports are saying these men are being charged with money laundering too.
