Call from an unknown mobile.
Pick up. Hello I am calling from £??sd;xwg  in a thick Indian accent.
Sorry I can't understand you. Hang up

Another call. Same person.  Hello I am calling from £??sd;xwg.
Sorry pardon.
Hello I am calling from £??sd;xwg.
Calling from where? £??sd;xwg electronics.
AO? (loudly because I can't help it on crappy mobiles)
Yes £??sd;xwg we will be arriving between 11 and 1
Ah sorry the call is very distorted because you are mobile. Thanks.

It was only because I'm actually expecting a call I persisted. I reckon he must get that all the time although in truth I am a bit mutton it just sounded like another scammer.

Now I've got to let them in.

'Hello.. You have won the Omaze prize draw'
'Hello.. you can confirm your win on the lottery'

I bet you would hear those words with little problem..

I too get calls from people who speak in foreign tongue..
I just don't respond...
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

If i'm not in a rush to do anything, I often keep the caller chatting by asking as many questions as I can.  I usually begin with sensible questions but, as time goes on, they become slightly more outlandish.
I believe that I am doing other recipients a big favour in occupying the scammers for as long as possible.

I know what you mean,  my hearing is getting worse too.   Got to go back to Audiology near the end of the month.

I found the worst time was when everyone was wearing masks,  and that, coupled with a strong foreign accent I found almost impossible to understand.
