My old (ish)  Panda is  a mere 12 years old,  but I was still very relieved and happy when it passed it's  MOT last autumn.    
I would have probably thrown a party if it was as old as yours, and still passed.

How many cars have you had? I strarted driving in 1970 or 1971 and have had 20 cars over the years

First car I ever drove, and learned in was a Ford Zephyr, bench seats, gears up at the steering wheel, and big fins on the back. Cracking car very American I used to think.
But when I got my own car I had to learn the gears all over again as they were on the floor and always seemed to be backside forward to me. 
That's probably where my love of big 4x4s comes from.
