Pensioner fined 250 pounds for spitting out a leaf...
Two litter enforcement officers  in Skegness ..  Lincolnshire  fined an 86 year old for spitting out a leaf that had blown into his mouth...
He told one of the officers that he was a 'Silly boy'...
After taking the matter to court the fine was reduced to 150.. 
What a load of  ********...

Thugs carrying knives .. stabbings... shoplifting.. Rape.. 
And it takes TWO Officers to fine an 86 year old...

Perhaps if the mugging, murdering, knife-wielding scumbags dropped a knife or syringe or spliff end, they would be identified, caught, arrested and fined for that littering transgression, which seems to be harsher that stabbing someone nowadays 🤷🏻�♂️

Unless there is some additional evidence of behaviour, I cannot see how an old man can be prosecuted for spitting a leaf out of his mouth.  This sounds like nothing more than Monty Python script.
I know that our police, or at least many of them, are now quite incompetent and improperly trained.
I know that our courts are now not as reliably fair as they once were, and I worry about how this country is going to develop further.
In his position, I would have refused to pay anything and awaited the court's response, trusting that our news media would cover the ensuing events.
What on earth is happening to this country?

What JBR said. How can a leaf be classed as litter? Had it landed on his shoulder and fallen off would they have pounced? I think I'd have taken my chances in court on this one. And called the papers.

Must admit I was dubious sounds  like social media BS but I haven't bothered to check.
