Another mass shooting in the USA by a gun waving nutter.

It happened at a birthday  party for 8 - 14 yr olds in California.
Early news says 14 people were wounded,  and so far 4 have died.

I expect there will be a lot more about this in the news tomorrow.

How can anyone do such a thing?
Thank you for the days, the days you gave me

Incredibly sad... They are talking of a  'Targeted' shooting..

If a country allows guns.. people will carry guns..

2023... A student shot his teacher .. He was SIX years old...
The teacher still has the bullet lodged in her chest..
She was awarded 10million dollars...

It is happening all the time in the USA... only a few make our press..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

The right to bear arms has been there ever since the Wild West.  Because it has been a right for so very long, no-one seems to consider banning it now, and I have read articles which state that most Americans now possess firearms of some sort.
If the country is concerned about attacks by a foreign country, perhaps I could see some common sense in it, but the Yanks have large and efficient armed forces.  I believe that their police are all armed as well, and assuming that they are sufficient in number and readily available, I can see no real need for people to arm themselves.  The only possible exceptions might be some who live in the middle of nowhere and never see any police from day to day.
Come to think of it, that's rather like Britain today!

The reason the right to bear arms is written into their constitution is to enable them is, should it become necessary, to enable the  citizens to defend themselves against a corrupt government. Doesn't seem to work too well at that either though...

It seems that there  is always some tragedy near to Christmas .

A pre-emptive strike?  Those children may well have grown up to be the corrupted government of the future.  Boys from Brazil?

Don't go there.

I was just giving the reason I read for why the second amendment is there. One thing is certain it has been nibbled away over the years and every change has been fought tooth and nail. Truth is if it was removed no modern government would ever enact it again. Everything any government does these days is the restriction of citizens or in our case subjects rather than endowing them with more freedoms. Well apart from some portions of the population here obviously.

Yes,  sadly it does often seem that way, I agree.
