Mups

I do the same as you, Scrumps,  and buy pressies when I see something I know the person would like.
I have got almost everything now,  except for my son.   He is really difficult to buy for.
Just bought all the cards ready to write now, too.

I have absolutely no idea, but I would value any SENSIBLE suggestions.
Last year, I had a (rare) moment of inspiration and bought Mrs Dex a couple of tickets for a show, which was a welcome surprise/gift.

There's bound to be something at the Lowry, Bridgewater Hall, Palace theatre, Octagon (in Bolton) etc, next year that she'd love to see either with you or a friend.  Add in a bite to eat before the show to make night of it, and everyone's a winner.  😊👍

If you're feeling particularly generous, there are theatres in (eg) Liverpool, and a night at a Premier Inn isn't overly expensive as an add-on.

Also, you can go all the research and purchases from the comfort of your own settee, and print any tickets out when she's not around.

At our time of life, it's better than buying something else to clutter up the house, and probably more of a talking point for her to share with her friends. 😊

Theatre tickets, vouchers for a nice treatment (manicure, facial etc), good perfume (not market knock off). Who mentioned an ironing board cover!! 🥶 I go to an expensive spa every year with my daughter & daughter in law, so OH buys me vouchers for that.  No thinking required, one happy lady!  He's a lover of single malt, a good one and some Christmas socks will be fine.

My daughter might treat me to afternoon tea, or tickets for something.  I don't really want 'things', any more.  I'm with Dex on not wanting anything else as clutter.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖
