Scrumpy

The word has to be spoken whether you like it or not..

Over the last few months I have been buying bits here and there that will make nice presents for my family..  i find this way  easier on the purse..
We do not buy overpriced gifts.. Just little things...
I looked in the bag of goodies.. I found stuff  I had forgotten about.. including alcohol..

Do you men leave it to the women to make the choices.. ?

Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

I am fortunate, this year, that Marge has decided that we don't need to put up the Christmas tree.  Her reason is that, as it lives outside in a part of the garden when the cats go to poo, it will encourage them (as it did last year) to use the carpet in a similar way to the garden.
Other decorations will not need to go up this year, as it is a big job to put them up for a couple of weeks and then take them down again.
We can still say the words 'Merry Christmas', though, as that requires very little work.

Yes of course.  Such things are obviously womanly duties.
Serious decisions are naturally down to men, who have the necessary knowledge and experience.
History proves it.

Exactly.  That's why god made Jesus a male (or at least made "them" identify as one).

While I can't agree that men always make the wisest choices there is ample evidence that some, at least, do make the bravest.

So what are you getting for Christmas this year?

The good lady bought me a country house last year called Bugger Hall.

Turning this around slightly, I need to decide what to get Marge for Christmas.
I have absolutely no idea, but I would value any SENSIBLE suggestions.

How about a 'pamper day'  ?
I always loved getting perfume, anything apart from 'things' for the house !

I can offer a suggestion of what it would be wise to avoid. Based on many of your comments it could be something that you may consider. This is doubly so given the adverts on gifts for men aside from personal grooming items suggest power tools as a gift for men. So whatever you do under no circumstances get Marge an ironing board cover.
