I was kicked out of the top French group at school because of  terrifying French teacher .
It was a good move the next teacher was kind and suddenly French wasn't bad at all .
A good teacher makes a world of difference .
And when in France I thank that man .

I speak fluent Spanish and a smattering of other languages as wherever I have lived on the world I have always tried to learn something of the language .

I agree... I didn't like my maths teacher and he had great pleasure in picking me up in class..
I am rubbish at the subject.. I lived near him when I first married.. He recognised me .. smiled and asked how I was.. He knew that I did not like him.. That was plainly obvious from my false smile..
 
You have done well with your languages Muddy.. and I have done well with the little bit of talent that I posses..   I guess we all have something that we excel in..
Making others smile... brightening up a room.. being kind... serving our country.. doing voluntary work, nursing and working in the Co-op...
We all contribute..

I didn't even care when my maths teacher died.. How sad is that..!!
I would just like to add that my daughter is a chartered accountant.. Where did that come from.. !!
