I have a terrible fear of spiders. My heart pounds and I shake, even though I know it's irrational.  I understand how you feel Mups 
 

The worst one I encountered was a couple of years back. 
I was just getting into bed,  picked my pillow up to give it a little shake,  and a huge big black spider ran out and shot down the bottom sheet.  Eeeek 


Thank God I moved the pillow though,  else I would have layed on it, and it might have gone on my face while I slept!
I  move my pillow every night now  before I get into bed, just incase.

This stuff I've got on my windows really does keep the big ones out !  Comes in various sizes, you just cut it to fit.

Then I could still have my windows open but not be afraid of spiders sneaking in.

How do you fix it to the window frame,  and where do you get it from please?

They supply a very thin white tape which you put on the frame, once you've measured and cut the net it sticks onto the tape.  You can undo it as many times as you like, to put your hand through to open the window, it always sticks down again.   Comes in various sizes, this is a big link but it works.
