As far as TwoTier is concerned, anyone who doesn't vote Labour is 'far right'...
so that includes me and at least 80% of the British people.

If the far left had been stopped from taking over the labour party they would not be in office now. Kinnock expelled an openly organised far left group from the party but the present lot have got where they are by organising in secret and getting themselves and each other into positions.

Ah, I remember Neil Kinnock.  One of the better Labour leaders, though clearly not strong enough to beat Maggie Thatcher.  I have never been a Labour voter, but I think he was one of the best examples of leader of that party when it was a reasonably trustworthy organisation, but obviously not quite strong enough to beat Maggie, our best PM since Churchill.

Reading his Wikipaedia (I prefer English to American spelling) article, I noticed that he first stood in the constituency named 'Bedwetty' (unless I misread it).  A strange name!

The electorate is fickle. Lots were very annoyed with Maggie and I'm convinced that the thing that swung it for her was Kinnock falling on his arse on a beach into the advancing tide and making himself look a complete arse during the party conference.

Bedwellty, Tredegar South Wales, bithplace of Aneurin Bevan, Neil and Stephen Kinnock, Ray Reardon, lots of other politicians and a US state senator. A small coal mining town notable for its town clock and birthplace to Vlad, warrior, international lover, philosopher, Bon Vivant, world traveller, casual hero and all round good egg.

Unforgettable moment in his political career, but I would add it wasn't as bad as "release the sausages "
