I hope you stand up against them.  How are things with the bin problem now?

You must know Brian if you live in Brum.  Often to be found in Wetherspoons telling people to get a job. He could advise you about who to leave your money to, and where to join an early morning running club. 😉
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Or, if you ever want to complain about someone being the beneficiary of a will, or about you having  a smaller pension that you feel you deserve, then he's always happy to take your call 24/7

Intermittent collections by private contractors if you are lucky, no collection of recyclables since March, no green waste collection, the piles of waste grow higher and the rats are getting bigger.

That's terrible, and unacceptable.  I'd be surprised if all Birmingham residents withhold their payments of rates or council tax or whatever they call it now.  If I lived there, I'd be tempted to just throw my rubbish into the street or, if I knew where they live, the streets where the bin men and the councillors live.

It looks like the first third-world city in Britain might be Birmingham and not Londonistan.
Yes, we really do need a revolution.

Trump has just announced ... ! year in prison for anyone desecrating the American flag..

We need Trump here... Not the twerp we have.. He wouldn't dare upset the many, many foreigners who voted for him... and pull his strings.. Muppet...
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

That's a ridiculous punishment for flag burning or any other mistreatment. I see all acts like that as free expression and oddly I'm pretty sure many Americans would agree as their First Amendment protects free speech.

Scrumpy

Burning your countries flag is 'Free expression '..!!!
I think not .. Burning the flag of the country you reside in is an insult to that country..
If you don't like the country... get out..
Burning its national flag is terrible..
We soon moan when it is done to our national flag...
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

klondike

So free speech is only allowed if what is being said or done is something you agree with?

I'd be miffed if they burned my flag but most flag burners bring their own flag with them.

Alex

You have to draw the line somewhere, well done President Trump burning the American flag should be punished.

Had a check for news on this. It seems I was right about some Americans citing First Amendment.

However, some conservatives argue that, no matter how offensive it might be, burning the flag is an act of freedom of expression. Therefore, prohibiting Americans from doing so would be a violation of the First Amendment.

Right-wing radio host Jesse Kelly slammed the order on X, writing, "I would never in a million years harm the American flag. But a president telling me I can't has me as close as I'll ever be to lighting one on fire. I am a free American citizen. And if I ever feel like torching one, I will. This is garbage."

I agree
A prompt flogging would do the trick 😀

Can I just say that no one is stopping anyone from burning the American flag. They have the absolute right to burn it if that is how they need to express themselves.

In the same way as every American can slander any other American if that is how they feel.
