Thanks Dex, we are having a bit of a do here at Vlad Villa on the 29th, I bought Mrs Vlad an emerald necklace...I didn't know there were lab grown emeralds..but I purchased a natural one.

I made this fake one by hanging a sea salt crystal in some coloured saline solution for a couple of weeks.  After cutting it with my angle grinder, I buffed it up with some wet n dry, and finished off with some duraglit.

Whaddya think?...

My birthstone, emerald.  Love the colour.  Two years to our Damond anniversary.  I got a nice Ruby ring on the appropriate anniversary.   ❤️

Grandson has had his GCSE results, he's done fine.  On to 6th form college now.  They are very lucky to have such a good one near where they live in Cheshire.

Is it just me, but I don't have any particular interest in shiney things, yet alone spending a load of ££££ od what are, in effect, stones.
