Scrumpy

Today I opened one of my sheds and a few wasps flew out.. I quickly closed the door..
Later in the day I watched as a couple of wasps entered a hole under the shed.. The hole is in the soil.. The shed is set on slightly raised soil with slabs sitting on top of the soil..
I have ordered some wasp killer powder...
Should I spray the powder near where I saw the wasps enter under the shed.. Should I also put some powder inside the shed. ???
Thank you.
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

I think I would play safe and do inside and out, Scrumps.
I am not saying this is right,  but its probably what I would do.

Be careful, and keep yourself safe, ey.

Try to keep covered as completely as you can when you do it. There is unlikely to be any angry reaction but you never know. We had a nest in the roof of a bungalow once which was huge. I had a pest controller in to do it as killing wasps is against my religion being a devote coward.

I did watch how it was done though and he spent a fair bit of time observing the paths they were taking in and out although as the only way to the bit of roof where they were was a narrow alley I'm not sure why. I suspect mostly to justify his exorbitant fee. In the end all he did was use some tool that looked home made to squirt a load of the powder through a long aluminium tube under the tiles to where the nest was. I didn't see any frantic wasp activity.

I will be very careful.
Do they carry the powder on themselves and take it back to the nest , therefore killing others.?

You're not going to harvest the honey first then?

Nor would I.

If I were you, I'd make contact with some Islamic terrorists and ask them how to set off a petrol bomb via a mobile phone call.  Then get it all in place and go on holiday to France, and blow it up via the aforementioned mobile.

As the insurers and police might delay the rebuild of your shed and house, you could slip some dodgy geezer a few quid in Calais and get a dinghy trip back over to Blighty, pretend your English isn't that good (which all of us on her can attest to anyway😬) and have a few months all expenses paid stay in a 4/5 star hotel.

By the time you get home in the new year,  it'll all be sorted.

You're thinking of the sticky liquid stuff you put out in little drops which from memory is for ants if they get inside. I think the powder just sticks to their legs and they ingest it from them. I know it's very effective. Check to see if it is dangerous to pets if you have any or cats pass through. Might need some netting or similar if it is.

Nipon.  Recommended by some.

That's the stuff. Mostly for ants.

Spray first to keep the little beggars at bay and then put insect powder everywhere inside and out .
