I've just looked in, we're all there, just like the old days, even Muddy! And Swimmy is back posting there...

Yes as you say, we all appear to be there,  but it is just not true.  Makes the membership numbers look good though.   I reckon half of the supposed members showing aren't really there at all.

Swimmy's been back there for  a long time, Ruthio.

I am not sure Foxy ever joined here, did he?   I liked him. He was a down to earth, honest bloke.

Azz didn't actually ban me, but whenever I posted it was temporarily blocked to the extent that no-one would see it until he decided I had been punished enough!
I decided then that he didn't deserve my interesting and helpful contributions and resolved never to visit again.
I have never had any interest to go back since.

I was never banned, either, JBR.
I left of my own free will at the dictatorial place it had become.

Few forums ever remove user IDs or even indicate that the ID is no longer active but many will indicate if the user is banned. I'm not sure if Simple Machines based forums such as here and PF show bans as nobody has been banned here and being banned on PF I can't list the users or at least don't think I can.

Users that delete their accounts are not listed here as I made that action possible by user choice. On PF it used to be up to the admin as I deleted an account there which I noticed was still there when I rejoined later using a different ID.

I didn't know that, Klondie.    I was inexperienced as that was the first place I had ever joined.

Surely someone can't boast of say . . .  eg.  2,000 members  if they've only got 50 now, though?
Ah well,  it doesn't really matter,  as I am not there any more, and never will be.

I looked occasionally. Gave up when it changed from a normal forum into a fight with the crappy software to make a post. Never had issues with moderation and the like but maybe because I made so few responses. I don't even recall what userid I used. I tend to use different ids on just about all forums as some idiots seem to track posters around if they take the hump over anything posted.

The two  ladies who used to be the Mods there were lovely,  always fair, and  good people.

Then one day we were all asked how we felt about a whole new modernisation idea,  but we all said we didn't want to change, we were happy as it was. 
But it was a complete waste of time asking us how we felt,  because our replies were totally ignored, and he went ahead with drastic changes regardless,  including having robots as 'Mods.'     (The two original ladies both  resigned).

It became impossible to post anything without being jumped on,  threatened,  or banned.  This was happening nearly every day.    Everyone said the boss became a control freak.  The friendly atmosphere had gone.
The  old place that once was,  no longer existed.    Bus loads of members left.  Me included.

Yet I'm still there, I normally only post in The Scottish Club, not much else. It's a quiet thread now as May has been banned, much to my annoyance as we used to have a good crack on the thread, BUT, the bots kept sticking their noses in and May ended up getting angry and Azz ended up banning her. There's a few left on there but it's not the same.
