A few years back I was sitting alone in a waiting room oat a railway station..
I heard the piano being played and stepped outside to listen..
There were two young lads around the age of 10ish.. One was sitting at the piano playing a tune.. he immediately stopped playing and looked very embarrassed.. he apologised to me saying
'Sorry, sorry.. are you waiting to play'?
I told him that I was there to listen to him..
'I don't play very well 'he said..  'I don't play at all ' I said..

He wasn't a concert pianist.. but he was so happy playing the piano..

I always try to find the time to listen to those who perform on railway stations..
Just regular people going about their business and just stopping for a moment to tinkle the keys..
I wish I could play the piano.. I do have one in the spare room but it just sits there..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

All my family have been a bit musical. All that is except me. I could star in X Factor fails if they still show them. Just can't hold a tune. Oddly I can tell if others are off though.

They have put a piano at my local garden centre  now, too,  although I have only seen children playing on it so far.

When I was a kid,  we had a piano in the front room.
I used to love tinkering on it,  I was the only one who did.
I don't think my parents could afford lessons for me,  so I was only self-taught,  but enjoyed it.

I would have loved to learn the piano too, my uncle could play really well without any music sheets, he was very popular at parties !
