You are now on the 'Naughty Step'..

Though I must agree with you..
The big stars now seem to avoid appearing at Glastonbury..
Years ago they queued up to get a 'spot'..

Could it be that I am not clued up on the big stars..!!
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Saddo opinion here but, I lost all interest in today's big stars. Apart from seldom listening to the radio unless it's "Call Kaye" on Radio Scotland 9am, I don't know who they are. The house radio is tuned to a Country Music Station if I want to listen live otherwise, it's CDs from my teaching Linedancing Days and I have a over 100 of them, lots of choice.
Neither do I watch them on the telly, in fact I hardly watch telly nowadays except for The Scottish News at six.
And for the record Unpopular as it will be BUT, I have never like Rod Stewart he creeps me out.

Perhaps Kenny Everett put you off?

Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Raven

Nope it was Rod himself, I never watched Kenny Everett, my husband couldn't stand him or his show, he had the remote and it wasn't worth an argument.

Rod Stewart, in my opinion , made some great music way back..
'Every Beat of my Heart'.. 'First Cut is the Deepest'.. and , of course,  'Sailing'
Whatever we think of him now he certainly had a big following way back..
Personally I think he should retire..

Tom Jones, on the other hand, still sounds great.. and has stage appeal..

Quote from: Alex on June 29, 2025, 10:22:57 AMGermany in the 1930s ? no Glastonbury.
At Glastonbury, a "singer" called Bob Vylan chanted 'Death, death to the IDF' Inshallah.  I hope he will be arrested.

Then of course there's 'Kneecap' a band in the news lately as their frontman Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh was charged with a terrorism offence last month i.e. displaying a flag in support of Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah.

Why on earth were they even performing ?  How ironic after the slaughter at a music festival on October 7th 23, we should hear this hatred of the Jews - at a music festival.  Shame on them all.
Yes Alex and how ironic that everytime this is mentioned up jumps someone to make it into a topic on superannuated rock stars.
