Happy St George's Day !

dextrous63

It's next week.  It gets moved if it lands too close to Easter.

Alex

I took that off Facebook !  What authority does the Church of England have to change the date ?

dextrous63

Presumably the same authority as it has to adopt a Saint, venerated by the Roman Catholic Church which they broke away from, who happened to be a foreigner anyway.

You need a proper Saint, like St. David, a national Anthem and guvvermunt of your own  :poke:

On the plus side, you can celebrate it again next week😊

As an atheist, April 23rd is St George's Day.

By the way, I never knew that St George was a leftie (Alex's picture).  He probably voted Liberal as well.
