I didn't know they were.

So my question was -  what is the reason?

dextrous63

Because it's a spoof.  Half the joke is that it's obviously a man in a dress over exaggerating alleged female stereotypical excesses.

But panto's are supposedly for young children.
I wonder how they see it?

dextrous63

I think the double entendres are more for the accompanying adults.  I don't really think that young kids fully understand much of what's going on other than the stupid slapstick nature of things with crass jokes.

Prince Charming in pantomime is usually played by a woman.. The ugly sisters are mainly played by men...
We thought nothing of this when we were children and never asked questions about it..
My grandchildren never questioned this either..

All of a sudden questions are being asked..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

And that reason is that such cross dressing makes them a figure of fun. Watch out for demands for Pantomimes to be banned.

I wouldn't be at all surprised.

But as I said ages ago,  Danny La Rue was dressing like a woman way back in the 60's.

Drag Queens are not the same as some cross dressers who go out of their way to try to look like normal women rather than a burlesque dancer.

Mind you not all do. I recall a regular im my local Tesco who favoured a short leather skirt fishnets and boots with Coco the clown makeup

But those who think they look 'normal',  -  don't.    Not to any woman they don't.
And they can never change their voices anyway.

They give me the willies    . . .  oh dear,  probably wrong word to use there.

Poor choice of word Mups! 😄
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Yes it was a bit,  wasn't it, Granny.

However,  another thing apart from using 'our' toilets and changing rooms is,  should they be put in male or female prisons?
I remember reading a while back,  about a bloke wanting to be a woman got put in a womens jail,  and got into more trouble for raping a prison officer!

And what about this then?

And that was presumably while you were still fairly sober. Don't risk doing any chatting up after you've had a drink or two.
