Android Tablet

I've got a tablet I keep upstairs and use for here, Facebook, e-mails etc but it seems to have had a breakdown and I can't fix it.   I 'll take it to the puter fella up the road, but thought I'd ask on here first.

It might be operator error and perhaps I've deleted something ? but I can only use it by speaking into the tablet, there's no keyboard.  I've done re-boot, didn't work. I've been into settings but I can't find where the keyboard details are.  I've Googled how to turn off Voice, although I'm not sure that it is 'Voice' ! 

When I try to log in to my Google account, because I have no keyboard, the voice microphone will not allow me to enter a password 

Any suggestions ?

Drag down from top of main screen til you see the cogwheel which gets you into settings by tapping
Scroll down to System almost at the bottom and tap that
You should then see languages and input so tap that

From there you should be able to set an onscreen keyboard  (You'll need to set default input to a keyboard rather than voice - it's called Gboard on mine).

I've just gone through that on my tablet so what you get may be slightly different.

Thanks Klondy I'll try that later.  No idea where the voice thinggy came from, I've always used a keyboard.

I followed your instructions and it says Google Voice automatic. So so I can't fit it off switch it's off capital letter f capital letter f capital letter s. New paragraphs I cannot find I cannot find a letter g board this second thing is driving me crackers signing off over and out PS I feel like this whole tablet has changed even the icons look different PS delete the word second and space insert f e u c k in
