I have just read that if we don't keep our car windscreens,  lights, and number plates clean,  we are now likely to be landed with a  £50   'On the spot' fine  by  Enforcemental officers.

I suppose the more miles you do, the more dirt is likely to be thrown up at you by the car/lorry in front,  especially when its a wet road.   I think black cars are the worst for showing dirt.
Also,  those in land rovers and pick-ups used as farm vehicles and builders trucks,  they're probably  always muddy.

So how often do you wash your car?
Do you go to a car wash,  or DIY?

Mostly a car wash once every couple of months or so.

Just when it needs it there's no set pattern. I put the jet hose on it at the garage after I've got the fuel.

Not only are they supposed to stopping dirty cars,  I also read somewhere that they are going to start doing  roadside spot checks on older drivers for eye sight tests, too!

It's amazing how much spare time the police have now they have given up on arresting criminals.

🤣🤣🤣

Yes indeed.  Absolutely.
I believe that their time now is largely occupied in 'speaking to' people who have 'said the wrong thing'.
All part of the government's 'free speech' programme, of course.

Car wash occasionally. Not sure it's legal, but they do a good job.   Inside of headlights was cleaned during MOT.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Surely it would be illegal for the law to pull over an elderly driver to check their eyesight..
I'm sure they would need a reason to do so..
And who would decide if the driver is elderly.. To a young cop a person of 45 is old.. !!

And perhaps also the windscreen?  😮

I use a car wash, staffed by eastern Europeans of course.
