My non white friend agrees.

Yes, I'm sure that many non-white people in this country think the same, certainly the more productive ones because all the damage done since 2TK got in will impact on them as well.
What I don't really understand is that according to the surveys there are still a large number of people who, apparently, would vote for Labour again.

Absolutely.  I am sure that the UK must be the proud possessor of the most potholes in the entire civilised world.
As for stupidity, in my opinion the people most responsible for that world-standard attainment are those who have been regularly working day in and day out in Westminster (except, of course, during official holidays) for the past twenty-seven years, and are now hoping to exceed those levels even further, given the opportunity of course.

I drive up fairly steep hill regularly, can't avoid hills in Sheffield.  One side of the road was repaired a while ago, but the going up side is appalling! It's heavily parked so it's hard to manoeuvre round the potholes.  Our old car doesn't like it.

Brings a new meaning to 'clunk, click, every trip'. 😬
