Me too.
As a child my hands and feet were full of chilblains .
I doubt my grandchildren have ever heard of them thank goodness.

I remember my mum saying..
'Knickers and vest..'
She called this out when it was a wash day..

Us girls shared the bath.. One in .. one out..
We even had our hair washed in the bath.. No shower .. just a jug of water to rinse our hair..
I was usually last .. because I thought it was clever not to go first.. So naive back then..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

I grew up in a flat with a bathroom! Well posh.

You could be on a winner with that box klondike. Like Alex, I buy boxes of tissues from Aldi or Lidl. Cheap as chips!
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Yes, in my childhood, ice or frost on the inside of windows was common.  No central heating either, of course,  the only source of heating was a coal fire in living room.
And don't mention the outside toilet.  I sometimes wonder whether we could only actually go in the winter, other than if the situation was desperate.

I haven't had any since.

Oh dear!  So you no longer have any glass in your windows?  Or perhaps they are plastic now?

Maybe they've been bricked up for privacy.
