With a somewhat significant common denominator.

Now there's been a 12 yr.old boy stabbed in Birmingham.  Killed by a 14 yr old!

And just heard 5 more people stabbed outside Asda in Croydon!

I shall be frightened to go out on my own soon.  :worried:

OMG, What the hell is happening to children to make them do this. :yell:

Somehow, the message of it not being a perfectly natural nor a fine thing to do  isn't getting across to some people.

I can't get my head around today's youngsters and their attitude to life. Where did we go so wrong for it to be the way it is.  [2080]

I think we went wrong when they introduced  teachers and parents association in schools..
The teachers lost all control.. And the children lost respect for the teachers..

The rule came out that we could not smack (I don't mean beat) our children when they needed a smack..
Children were given too many rights and Children's Helpline was used in the way it was not intended..
Children would tell parents..
' You can't do that'... 'I know my rights'..

Some children certainly need protecting from cruel parents or guardians.. That's for sure.. I don't dispute that..

Over the years many children think it is they that rule..
And unfortunately they are right.. Because they have been treated with kid gloves..
Many parents are no longer the boss in their own homes.. The children are..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Yes Scrumpy I believe your bang on with what you say. I just hope the world comes back to it's sense soon.  :upvote:
I remember when my Regan was about 2 years old and she decided to have a hissy fit in Woolworths, she wouldn't stop and I marched her out and up the close at the side of the shop, where she got a hot ass. She never did it again, because she knew if I had to tell her twice then she would regret it, lesson learned.

Rudakabana has got life, min tariff before eligible to apply for parole, 52 years.  I doubt he'll last that long.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

We didn't go wrong.

What went wrong was that goofy-toothed waste-of-space dreadful Rantzen woman, who should do me a favour by pissing off to Switzerland & pressing the life-ending jab button instead of getting it introduced into the UK to be a potential danger to me & every other elderly person in the country.

She's the one who started the rot with her Childline rubbish as she was too dim to see the consequences for the rest of us.

And another one in Germany.  A male nursery day care volunteer  also got stabbed yesterday,  along with a little 2 yr old toddler.

The killer was caught, and turned out to be a 28 yr. old Afghanistan man,  living in asylum accommodation.

(Alex,  I hope I haven't just quoted the same as you did?  Apologies if I have).

I can't help but feel that, a bit like Dirty Harry's view, we should stop pi$$ing around with these freaks.  No need for a court case in some incidences, no need to listen to extenuating circumstances bull.  "Off" them.

Their choice...if they want to live then they choose not to stab people.  If they stab someone to death then they have chosen to cease their lives.  Simple message.

I place the blame with the vociferous middle class. I know they meant well but real life is hard. Beneath that veneer of civilisation there are still the primeval realities.

I expect a lot of people are feeling the same now, Dex.

I think if you killed someone accidentally,  it is different to those who deliberately plan it, and then go out with the sole intention to murder.

I do think then the penalty should be 'a life for a life.'

dextrous63

Mups, I think use of terms such as punishment or penalty are inappropriate.  It isn't us, the state who has chosen to terminate anyone's life,... the decision was and is solely down to the perpetrator.
