Partly because of workshy employees who know the sickness rules & stupid judges.

Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

There was a delay for me but it did open eventually.
I was surprised to read about this as I thought NHS cleaning staff were employed through an agency, but perhaps it depends on the Trust.  I imagine this pay out could encourage others to claim !

Can't open the link on my phone, but is this the story about someone being awarded circa £50k for being sacked for having hundreds of sick leave days?

It is slow. Perhaps some browsers time it out. This is the native URL which may or may not work but does for me and is a lot quicker...

It is a lot easier when you post the actual headline !

In 1980 the population of the UK was 54 million and there were 374,000 Hospital Beds.

In 2024 it was at least 74 million and there are 140,000 beds.

In 2024 ago one million nett came and that was 'legal' input. Add at least another 30,000 'beachcombers' and expect a record number this year under 'hurry, hurry, - get your subsidised UK citizenship here - Everybody Welcome' - Starmer ...

Supply and demand with too much emphasis on demand and first priority given to illegal immigrants to get those beds and accompanying treatment!

Well, I suppose we do need overseas medics in abundance, largely to cater for the increase in overseas sick people arriving at these shores for preferential freebie health treatments..

This is the same logic that Rayner seems to be applying to us using all of the spare housing/accommodation we have to, er, house cheap overseas builders to build houses which we might not actually need if we didn't have to house them in the first place.
