Will 'Fat jabs' be enforced on the obese?

Many will remember when Covid was at it's height, and some employers were saying - "No jab,  no job."
Remember that?

I have read about Wes Streeting, health secretary, supposedly targeting the unemployed.  He has launched a trial of  a  fat-busting drug for obese recipients on unemployment benefits.

'The  3,000 recipients will receive Big Pharma firm Eli Lilly Mounjaro injections,  (a competitor of the Ozempic jabs)'.

This article went on to say that if the Government were really that concerned about  unemployment, it would stop mass immigration!
But another problem is that wages have been cut to the bone, so many on the dole are not even attracted to get off their sofa's.

Will the time come when the obese unemployed people are told  -  No jab - no more dole money?

Big money is made from all these vaccines,  and I suspect that is the true motivation to sell these drugs.

Is obesity a reason for getting benefits ?
Surely if obese people had a job they would spend less time eating ?
Or maybe the job is sedentary and  makes people obese .
Obesity is terribly bad for your health it is a cause of diabetes for one .
Type 2 diabetes can be reversed by weight loss .

Has anyone ever watched those dreadful ' My 600 lb life documentaries  on YouTube ?
They are appalling .
But worse are their enablers who provide these people who are nearly always bed ridden with gargantuan meals .

None seem to have jobs.

I've seen those programmes, how does someone get to 600lbs and more?

I was diagnosed a year ago as pre diabetic.  I took it as a wake up call and have lost over 3 stone since then. I went to an advisory class about diabetes, every month, and I'm no longer at risk. :yay:   Half the class dropped out.  I was exercising before I lost weight, but now I have more energy, and the knee replacement I need is no longer as urgent as it doesn't hurt nearly as much.

I had a sedentary job, was never into sport, and I have a sweet tooth. I made some changes to my diet, I still eat well, but have far less sugar and fats.  Some people won't try, and living on benefits is manageable with the disability elements included.  Getting to a healthy weight may not be on some people's priority list.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

The people with diabetes were the ones these jabs were for, then private clinics bought them all up and sold them for a hell of a lot to their clients. The GPS couldn't get any for the patients who needed them, unless the sale to clinics is stopped then the obese unemployed have no chance.

I don't care about the (bigger) people out there..
What I do care about is the (Bigger) people out there who expect me to feed them..

Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

I must confess that I have put the pounds on since Christmas.  For many months, if not years, I have been between 12st and 12st 1lb.
I'm afraid I have since gone up to 12st 4lb.
I might pop down to the GP and ask if they have any of these magic injections.
Or perhaps I might try to eat a bit less.

I usually avoid topics about weight which are often started by stick thin people, but here goes.... I never had a problem with weight until I had a baby !   I don't know what happened but I've been a yo yo dieter ever since. I was on medication for an under active thyroid but coming back to this country I was called ' borderline' and refused the medication.

You know that saying ' I only have to look at a cream cake to put on 2 lbs' ? that's me.  From Christmas Eve until New Years Day I'd put on 5 lbs, it will take me a month to lose that 5lbs

Not all overweight people sit stuffing down Big Macs

I am the same weight as last year.. The nurse weighed me.. 10 stone 8pounds..
I am 5ft.. 5inches tall..
I guess I could do with losing probably a stone.. But I am happy as I am..
The nurse didn't seem concerned..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Most nurses I've seen doing health checkups look like they couldn't nag anybody without them bursting out laughing.

I fall into that category but at least I didn't start this one. I'm 5ft 7in & at one point I weighed slightly under 9 stone & I was a bit worried but I haven't checked it for three or four years.

My clothes all still fit & don't drop off me so I use that as a guide.

However, as I've said before, I never saw an obese person in the German concentration camp documentaries.

A reason for avoiding 'weight threads'

I think the article was more about the government making money out of  all this.

The writer also said - " this means the British Government is being paid by big pharma for the opportunity to test a potentially lucrative new drug on people who are dependent on the state".

That is why it also said -  "if the government was really concerned about unemployment, it would stop mass immigration,  not just sell drugs".

I have always thought this is why they keep bringing out more and more Covid-vaccines every few months -  money,  (but that bit is my personal opinion).   We don't have multiple Polio jabs, do we, nor TB jabs or all the others we used to have, and even the Flu ones are only a once a year thing.

All I know is that Astra-Zeneca one made me very ill for a long time afterwards,  and there will be a reason why the UK has stopped buying it,  and so have a lot of other countries too.

I went to see Henning Wehn do a stand up comedy performance a couple of years ago.  He suggested that the reason that hospitals have double doors isn't to get beds through, but more to be wide enough for nurses to get through😬😬😬

Trouble is,  I suspect some people will get  flogged these things  by clinics  more as a beauty treatment  than a health one,  and charge the earth for them, too.
Personally, I would sooner find a diet that suited me,  than have drugs pumped into me every week.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if some time in the future,  some doctor or scientist will announce it has been discovered they are harmful  - after they have been pumping them into thousands of people!
