Facebook avatar problem

For no apparent reason, when I now open Facebook on my computer my avatar appears briefly and then disappears.
I have searched all over the internet and find that most articles seem to refer to smartphones.  My problem is with my computer.  Strangely, Facebook on Edge works properly, but not on Chrome.
I'm afraid that I can find no solution.  Perhaps an expert here  (Klon?) might have the answer.

Sorry don't do Facebook but it might be worth clearing the browser cache. Don't clear the cookies if you don't like signing in everywhere next time you visit.

Just a thought.....Maybe remove your avatar altogether for a wee while then try putting it back. Kind of a reboot thing.

Thanks Raven.  I have removed Chrome from this computer (Edge was working properly) and reinstalled... everything!  Now working properly.
Bloody computers.
