I like my middle name "Roxanne" and prefer to use it. My dad being a stubborn Highlander said that my first name should be Scottish, so I got landed with "Heather" and I HATE IT. :yell:

Well, Maggie, Helen, Sir and ... Heather, I'd like something along the lines of Roger.

My name is John.  Once, it was probably one of the most common names in this country.  I was looking at a list of the most common names today, and mine didn't even appear on a very long list!

Well, that is what came top in the list, plus other versions with slightly different spellings lower down in the list.

I've just had a successful online "chat" with someone on Amazon to get a refund on a non-delivered item.  The name was Pummy.  No idea about gender nor origin, but I thought it was a delightful name to have.

All of a sudden it seemed to be the trend to name children after the place they were conceived..
Brooklyn for example...
Sometimes it works ..

Skeggy... Doesn't seem to have the same effect..
