Scrumpy

I cut my own fringe...
I give myself a pedicure and paint my toenails.. I often miss the target.. But hey ho..
I give myself a manicure.. That's a laugh.. I often miss the target there as well..
When my nail polish is getting low I top it up with another polish.. Result.. Full bottle..  :yahoo:

I'm a bit like an old motor that's been touched up with a paint brush.. But nothing wrong with the engine..

Am I the only one who gives themselves the beauty treatment?  I say (beauty) because I can't think of another word..

And I always touch my nails too early to see if the varnish is dry.. It usually isn't..
I've just done that very thing..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Alex

I paint my nails every week, toe nails only in summer - if I can reach them
I keep my nail varnish in the fridge as it stops it from getting thick.

It needs a good tidy up !

Toenails in the summer. I have dreadful fingernails so I have acrylics now. I have the occasional facial too as a treat. I don't kid myself it makes me look any different but it's so relaxing.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

I have a face pac ... One of the sachet kind from Boots..
I'm not sure if it works or not..

You will think me a slob,  but  I have never had a Facial,  or had my nails done.
I sometimes used to paint my nails when I was in my teens,  but not since.

My excuse is,  helping out in stables years ago,  then living on a small holding,  and later a farm,  its hardly the kind of life where false nails, and make-up would have been appreciated.
I like to think my Goats, and Dogs loved me just as I was.

I've never had a facial Mups.. Not a real one.. I just stick a bit of mud on my face out of a sachet.. Maybe once a year..

I colour my fingernails probably every other year ..
I did them recently because my granddaughter Hattie gave me some varnish.. The deepest red..
I use Simple products for my face..

A bit of lippy.. eyeshadow and liner and I'm good to go..
It tends to smudge a bit as the day goes on..
It then becomes my smouldering look.. Well sexy..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Me either, living on the farm is no place for posh totty. When I was in Perth all the time it was the same, I like the natural look, no make up. The closest I've ever come to it is dying my hair.
I like the brush in dyes if we're going out, I can put purple or green ect in my hair like high lights, just takes a few minutes.

I have hi-lights too,  in fact I had them  re-done again today.   But I prefer a more natural look for me, so like subtle colours,  just a couple of shades different to my own hair colour.
I can't imagine me  being brave enough for purples, or greens, or anything really bright.

Is blue rinse shampoo really a highlight??😬😬

As a quick aside...the shampoos and conditioners my wife and daughter used used to stain the (wet room) shower floor.  No amount of scrubbing, steaming nor any "normal" cleaner would get rid of it, until, out of nowhere I thought I'd try some cillit bang black mould remover.  Sprayed it on last thing at night, and by morning it was absolutely spotless.  Can't recommend the stuff strongly enough!!

Good God, Dex.   I have never heard of any shampoo/conditioners staining like that.
If it stains the shower that bad,  imagine what it does to their scalp!

No way would I  use anything like that on my hair.

dextrous63

I hardly ever use soap nor shampoo when I shower nowadays.  Just seems unnecessary.

I prefer a patio deck cleaning head attached to my karcher.  No euphemisms there.  Honest, guv.

I am the same Mups
I don't like long nails they also seem unhygienic to me . I like gardening and even with gloves the dirt gets through .
I do occasionally get a face mask those weirdo ones which you stick on your face and have holes for your eyes and mouth 😀
