Daily Mirror
It's OK.  It has landed at Leeds-Bradford airport.

It's landed in Moscow - surprise surprise !

I was hoping he'd bought himself an island off China and become Scaramanga.

Quote from: dextrous63 on December 08, 2024, 04:22:32 PMIt's a funny old world.  Most despots don't die a natural death at a great age.  Makes one wonder why more of them don't reflect on that and try not to be so despotic.
Might be because when they fail to be despots they get failed in the game of life.

Seems that the Russians made a very chaotic withdrawal. So chaotic that they didn't even manage to evacuate all of the soldiers and some got left behind.

The plane did crash but they are saying Assad is in Moscow with his family. Anybodies guess what the truth is.

Alex

The Sun said the plane possibly turned off the transponder and that he could also be in UAE or Iraq, at least he had better luck than Saddam.

I'm with JB on this, and reckon he's in Yorkshire somewhere.  Probably in a spa hotel at our expense, having claims asylum.  Why spend his own squirrelled away fortune when the UK gov will cover his costs for him?

We need people like him, as he's a semi-trained eye surgeon.  Win-win situation

Well it's given Starmar yet another nick-name, 'Stupid Starmer' who's celebrating the demise of the Assad regime & is too stupid to see the extreme danger to the UK when thousands of young Syrian fighters get into the dinghies.

Very true Klondy, the headline grabbed my attention.  To be honest it's Kevin MacKenzie not so much the newspaper that I think despicable.  So many false stories, not just Hillsborough.  The man is cruel and has been responsible for inventing stories, I remember he even had a go at Simon Weston ! awful man he was the Editor and had the final word - end of rant.
