I did see a photo of a transit van with its side all damaged, it was across the road from the camera.

The use of explosives/bombs always seems to attract longer sentences, up to life imprisonment.  This one does seem harsh though.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

The fact that he had three stun guns in his house, more chemicals to make more bombs with, and the fact that the one that went off showed a complete disregard for anyone's safety, with shrapnel smashing the glass of a driver and also a child's bedroom, might have something to do with it.

He's a clear menace to himself and others.

This is an example of good, appropriate policing and outcome within the justice service.  You should be applauding it, not using it to point score.

Everyone has a right to an opinion .
The comment re point scoring was unnecessary.

Entirely appropriate.

As you edited your post (fine by me), I shall agree with the change of your first line to ... "everyone is entitled to an opinion".

Yes I did  edit it  to make it clearer that I thought it was an unnecessary comment on Granny's post ..

There you go again.  Assuming I was commenting on Granny's post.

As your post was immediately after it is a logical assumption .

Quite !

There are plenty of examples of two tier policing.  But there are plenty of examples of all sorts of appropriate and inappropriate legal outcomes.

I fail to see how a 15 year sentence to someone who set off a bomb in a public space with absolutely no care for the likely damage it could cause to passers by and residents, and who has weapon and further explosive materials at home and seems to have shown no remorse is an example of two -tier and hence inappropriate policing 🤷🏻♂️

As such, imho, it should not be cited in a thread which has a clear point scoring intent to it.

Not really.

muddy

Yes really .
The fact is not only is the sentence harsh but of course we can't have people blowing up traffic cameras, it is disproportionate   with other sentences that have been handed out .

Ie they are too lenient

And some of which are too strict, such as imprisonment for 'saying the wrong words'.

What happened to 'free speech'?
