Myra Hindley.. The moors murderer was an  icon in the prison where she served time..
The West woman murderer was her close companion.. They ran the place.. Not so the jailers..

Jails are not tough enough.. And jailers have to be very careful should they act in a harsh way.. The prisoner would report them.. Prisoners are protected against rough treatment.. Awww!  Bless..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Report them to whom?
'Non-crime hate incidents' - a recent invention of the Labour party in government.
Fortunately, this is something which is being discussed regularly these days.
Even more importantly, many people are disgusted by it.
Even even more importantly, over two million people are publicly objecting to the 'sausage idiot' who started it.

I'm currently ploughing my way through a series of kindle unlimited books by MJ Trow (the Maxwell murders), which has an old school teacher as the main character.  I think you'd enjoy it, especially you JB.

Anyway, the relevance to this topic is that Maxwell has a useful comment about poorly behaved pupils being sent to the head or deputy for "a damned good letting off".  Seems appropriate.

Anyone who will listen..
I bet there are social workers and the Do-gooders  who would be happy to make sure the prisoner is comfortable and treated with respect..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Respect?  Do they deserve respect?

No they don't... But the Do-gooders are changing how we behave..

We have to help and feel sad for those who stray from the beaten path..
For those who risk their lives to flee horror and devastation .. those that travel through many countries to get to ours..
Those that kill an innocent stranger because voices tell to them  to do so..
... and so it goes on and on
And the guilty ones are those who fight back with words..
Or protect themselves with a fist..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Yes, the changes which have been made since ah wer a lad are changing this country for the worse.
The 1950s and 1960s, of all post-war years, were the happiest.  Then things began to change, and since the new millennium the real rot has begun to set in.
Will we ever regain our proud country?

No.  Things have been insidiously creeping up on us for a long time now,  but now the woke people have seen they can get away with it,  everything has accelerated at a speed we can no longer stop.

If we snuffed it, then popped back in 50 years to see what it was like,  we would no longer recognise the place.

Quote from: Scrumpy on November 25, 2024, 05:52:01 PMMy friend worked at M&S Crawley..
It closed its doors a couple of weeks ago.. She said that shoplifting was a big problem there..
We had a big M&S in the nearby town that also closed a few months back.

Next step !!! ... They will be hijacking the delivery vans..

You saying that,  reminded me of something I saw about another shopping scam on a programme today.
It was about scamming couriers.

A courier was captured on someone's doorbell camera,  taking a parcel to someone's house.
He then photographed it where he left it,  but after he had got the picture as proof of delivery he picked it up and walked off with it for himself!

I've heard of people who look out for couriers leaving parcels then once the driver has gone,  the criminals go and take the parcel,   but this time it was the courier himself stealing parcels.
I wonder what can be done about this though, as he is careful to take the photograph first!

How do these thieving toe-rags think these things up ey.

Thieves in all walks of life Mups..
Inside trading.. Banks.. Big companies.. Those at the top always line their own pockets first..
And then there are  'Chancers' .. They see an opportunity and they grab it..

If I was given too much money in a large shop.. bank.. ATM machine.. I would keep it..

We had an ATM machine that was giving  too much money back and the word went up like wildfire..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

First it was illegal. Then it was frowned on but allowed. Then it was just allowed. Then they started the flags and marches. Then the coppers started with the fancy dress and crappy dancing. All I'm really concerned about is when it becomes compulsory

Alex

What's your new picture Klondy, I can't make it out ?

klondike

I asked chatgpt to make one for me. It looks OK on all my stuff lappy/phone/tablet but of course I already saw it bigger too

Alex

I can see it now, gold digging eh?

Sorry.  Just come across this.

If the courier did that and walked off with your parcel, wouldn't it be recorded on the doorbell camera?
Of course, they don't all record, I suppose.
