What's the best way to remove grass growing in between paving slabs ?   I used to mow the patio when I had a mower it was very effective

I use bleach in a sprayer. It will need redoing. You can use vinegar and salt with a dash of washing up liquid - recipes online. I'm not sure if it really needs stronger than the standard 5% vinegar but that tends to be pricey. Bought weedkillers may or may not last a bit longer but I found they stain the pavers.

I saw a youtube video recently about scratching out the grooves and brushing in a dry sand and cement mix. Mine are blocks rather than pavers though and that would be a lot or work.

Thanks Klondy, I've never used bleach, but have tried white vinegar.  The patio really needs re-laying another job for the list !

I sometimes use a mix of bleach and white vinegar with a dash of wash up liquid. But most of the time I use my patio cleaning wire brush, it whips through them easily.
